On the topic of backup, I recently discovered "restic". And I like it.

It has some integration with cloud storage, but you could easily backup to
just another disk on the same machine, or nfs.

I use it to a minio (S3) repository on my NAS.

It compresses, de-dupes and encrypts so regardless of where you backup to.

As an example, my two Pis have 1.67GB of data to backup, and 14 days on my
NAS takes up 3.43GB :)
