Why don't you just turn off the wifi on the router, and get a separate wireless AP like a TP-LINK AC1200 one, you can do a lot more with the wireless AP than you could with a router with built in wifi I'm sure.

I've never used the wifi on ISP routers, they're never nearly as good, plus if you have a separate one, then whenever you switch ISP's your wifi will just keep working =)
