I hear you there, I think the best approach is to go for DOSEMU as that can
read the linux filesystem in real time making it the defacto choice for dos
games doors in linux bbs I believe.

Don't get me wrong, there's a process to follow, and it's not super easy but
once you figure it out for one game, adding more games is less of a ball ache.
