I think DOSBOX is neat but it caches the file system that it mounts as the C:
drive or whatever drive you mount, so any changes that happen outside of
DOSBOX, while it's loaded and running, aren't visible to DOSBOX until the
next time it's run. I think this is why the likes of dosemu(2) are more
practical to run dos based games in Linux or Windows 64-bit...?

Just thinking out loud really here, I don't run too many games locally... I
find it more convenient just to use bbslink lol. Lazy? perhaps, low effort?
