My Mac mini was built with a standard HDD. When it was too slow and too
small to push further, I replaced the DVD drive with an SDD. Then I used the
Fusion Drive framework to join the HDD and the SDD. That made it like a new
machine. It felt like the whole drive was a fast SDD, even though most space
was on HDD. So I was very happy with the Fusion Drive.
