Gr> Fair and expected. Agreed. Like my mic issue, I think its a real one-off... while I don't expect them to JUMP THRU HOOPS, I think by now they should have allowed me to send the PC in for repair or replacement, as I have done MANY steps to attempt the fix. At this point I *think* its because of a RF sticker by the wifi chip; they have a service bulletin about cuttin a section of it away; and I haven't completed that yet... we'll see. For you, tho - I hope Purism knocks the repair out quickly. Gr> Still, when it comes to legitimate issues, quick, over-the-top customer Gr> service is the way to go. If I wasn't in the middle of a DR situation Gr> at work I would've investigated why their mail was going to junk. For the vast majority of things, Frame.work does rock @ customer support. But, being small, I think they drop the ball on genuine one-off or much smaller issues. It must be tough for companies like these... I like how Purism had you send the unit in when they couldn't quickly get it ironed out over email, tho. Gr> Glad the frame.work is hodlding up. I think I've said this to you Gr> before, but I love the idea, I just wish they (or someone else) was Gr> putting out a motherboard with libreboot or coreboot. Oooh, I'm Gr> surprised nobody's made an ARM or RISC-V board for it yet... Its really nice and they are currently offering their first upgraded mainboards, a hinge/backplate upgrade to fix the screen-wobble issue of the first batches - we're all hoping that they come out w/ a Frame.work 2.o w/ Ryzen and either APU based CPUs or w/ gfx cards... we'll see. Let us know how yer Librem ends up. Hoping for the best!! :P |07p|15AULIE|1142|07o |08......... --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A48 2022/07/15 (Linux/64) * Origin: 2o fOr beeRS bbs>>>20ForBeers.com:1337 (1337:3/129) .
