I'm guessing it's like in the Macbooks that Rossmann is always repairing, that 
the chip that handles the charging is kaput. They haven't provided me with an ETA yet. a stack of alternate machines to fall back on.

One more thing that's a fit/finish issue; I noticed a rattle inside a few weeks 












































































































































































































































































































































































after I started using it, but didn't care enough to pull it apart to 
investigate.  When I pulled it apart I found that the BIOS battery is held down 












































































































































































































































































































































































with a square of double sided tape, which had given up on life.
