I would be interested in such a device, as soon as some (rendered)  
pictures are available where I can see what it would look like :)
I'm picky when it comes to keyboard layouts (although I like the one  
from the GPD P2 Max, but the old 6-row ThinkPads were the best) :)

Just a hint, I don't know if you already know it:
There is the ESP32 project "FabGL" which contains much code for a VGA  
output, keyboard/mouse input and also ANSI terminal code.
As it is open source, maybe you can find some code in there that could  
help you; I just don't know if ESP32 stuff is working on an Arduino.
