I had the same thoughts, and I do follow that ANSI tag convention, but it was 
still addressed anyway. Oh well, it was nice to at least confirm the plain-text 


























































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































versions post and look OK as well, so I was glad to make the change on that 
other net.

On a slightly related note, one thing I might change in both the ANSI and 
non-ANSI posts is simplifying the wind direction arrows, because I noticed on 
some others' BBSes, the triangle pointer arrows sometimes get interpretted as 
nonprintable control characters (like the right triangle arrow [ascii 16] 
becomes a DLE), and it messes up the rest of the message from those characters 
to the end. So for that reason the next wave that goes out will have the arrows 


























































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































replaced with ^ for north, > for east, < for west, and v for south, and we'll 
see if it looks better in those readers.
