It's amazing how far our news spreads but that was one heck of an event.  
Within 30 minutes of the 2nd plane hitting (around the time the third hit the 
pentagon) they announced over the intercom that the National Guard was on its 
way to all airports and we  were being asked to immediately vacate the airport. 










































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































I was on a pay phone with my boss who was insisting I stay and try to catch the 










































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































flight to St. Louis, until the plane hit the pentagon and the announcement was 
made over the PA.  I remember the airports opened a week or two later, and it 
was like a military zone.  I had never seen an M16 up close until going through 










































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































the security checkpoints they established.  It was a crazy, and scary time, for
