I was impressed with the story the way it was presented, but yea, they fell
short of saying what the aliens look like and what their staple crops are :)

But these signals, at least, tell us that stuff is happening out there. It's
still interesting, whether it's just natural weather occurrences or something
more.

Here's a follow-up article about this "Sunlike star" story I was referring
to. It's toned down from the "must have come from an advanced civilization."
