I heard about a similar incident several months, or maybe a year ago.

The article I read (can't remember the source) said astronomers listening
picked up a signal or sound that was so intense that it "could only have come
from a civilization which has learned to harvest the full potential of their
sun's power." They also said something like "The region it came from has a
very bright, sun-like star."

But, I haven't heard any follow-up stories on that issue. Anyone else?
