Here my house is all electic, but I off-set the bill, by utilizing the fire
place, buck-stove and dutch oven. By spending my free time in the summer
months using chain-saw, log-splitter and axe/mall...I perpare for winter.
Finding free coal in the appalachian mountains is fairly easy .. since my
area is encompass by abandened railroad tracks and coal mines. Without electric
power, the computer will stop working.. but I will stay warm, eat good food,
drink and smoke whatever, ..pleases me. I have a Kenwood R-1000 SW radio,
also a made in China, BAOFENG UV-5R hand unit. My porjects that are still in
the works are Solar panels and larger aray of battery banks.. 6V and 12V.
