Subj : Is Prepping guided by the elit?

When i started prepping, there were only a few others that they were doing it.
Youtube hadn't a lot of channels on this subject and web sites also, were
mostly on the "conspiracy theory" side, than actual prepping.

Through the years i saw a drastic change on this... youtube became full with
preppers/survivalists etc, the web also... we also got many tv shows on the
subject and the whole thing, became almost mainstream.

With all the "gun restriction" talk, right parties taking power etc... i am
wondering... if prepping is guided intentionally by the "big guys" to make
people look like extreme nationalists (nazis kind of sort), look like they are
against the state etc... or even just to make people prepare for something
big, with out knowing it?  What do you think?
