I wasn't a Martini drinker either, until a few months ago when I started to
watch M*A*S*H reruns.  The Hawkeye character seems to enjoy them and since I
am a gin drinker anyway I thought I've them a try.  I found that I am very fond
of them too.  I have also started experimenting with Vodka Martinis.  I am not
really fond of Vodka, but somehow the Vermouth and a garnish of some sort make
them palatable as well.
