You should be able to pick up SW anytime with a setup like that.  I'm a ham
operator (extra class) and I check in to a net on 3.965 Mhz when I can. 
Haven't done much lately though...being sick and all.

I let a ham friend borrow my Yaesu FT-900 and my digital interface to run the
PSK31 station again this year.  Hope they make some contacts with it.
