I was warming up a couple of newly hatched chicks on my front porch today.
They where in a shoe box, when I left them to go inside and get them some
water. When I returned after only being gone two minutes, one chick was gone
and one remained. The lost chick was probably carried off by a cat. That is
the only survival story that I have today  :(
