If you were tracking Halley ZR> and Hale-Bopp, you must have been using film! Those were the days. My photo's where taken on high speed film with a Nikon FM camera either mounted on the C-11 counter weight bar with a camera adapter for piggy backing. Or the Nikon FM was mounted to the rear cell of the C-11 2800mm with a T-adapter on the filter then a camera T-ring replaces the Nikon Lens. This is call prime focus astrophotography. When the scopes prime focus act as the camera lens. Since The C-11 is 2800mm aperture, means it can grab about 2800 time more light the the human eye. In 1984 when Halley was beyond the orbit of Saturn inbound, on Nov 11th. My 8 seconds Exposure shows the Nucleus of Halley with a jet plume also. This was before it was close enough to be showing a long comet tail. Hence, I was in the right place at the right time when i open that camera for just 8 seconds. Stuff like this will only happen once in my lifetime. That is why I love Astromony so much I guess. My galley of photo's are quit small and only found on my living room wall. The is a Hale-bopp photo on my http://fluph.bbsnexus.com webpage. Üܲ±ßÞÜÝ ÞÜÜ Ü²Þ²ÜÜ ÜÝ °Ü Ý ! b7 member board Þ²ÜÜÜ Þ² ÜÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÝ޲ݰÜÜ²Ý ÜÜ dA flupHly squirrel ate my nuts!
