That might be a regional thing. I don't hear Republicans talking about any of those issues in my area. I've heard them refer to "school choice" but not around here.

Teacher unions shouldn't support any party, regardless of how the party affects them. When teacher unions support a party, they're literally forcing taxpayers to support a particular party, and that's not fair. Especially not when those taxpayers are also forced to live with the consequences that come along with that particular party (like stuff that doesn't have anything to do with education whatsoever.)
