Masonic Activity is best thought of as several distinct yet overlapping activities under the same mantle. Some very community orientated (think Shriners Children's Hospitals), some a bit tree house club stuff (the main lodges), some very introspecitive & party orientated (ever see the purple motorcycles of the Jesters?) and some secret as they can manage (unknown purposes too). In addition to Temples where Lodges meet they have some research centers, which seem to be private libraries. So they certainly exist, but what they are depends on which part of the components activities you are looking at. Seems a lot of "we don't have much money" while they might have reserves. Members are expected to pony-up dues which can vary depending how involved the member is. They do take care of each other, which is typical of these sorts of organizations. Oh, and they have youth & woman's parts. --- Steve K9ZW via SPOT BBS --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A48 2022/07/15 (Linux/64) * Origin: SPOT BBS / k9zw (700:100/69) .
