Have you ever wanted to be a part of something special?  There really is no need to be accepted into one of the bigger brotherhoods, like the Masons, Rosicrucians, Crips, Bloods, Skull and Bones, or The Illuminati.  You might find that you are really proficient at fund raising and administering an organization.  All of the big name societies were created by some people who aren't much different than you or me.  At one point they were created, now might be your turn to make a Society of your very own.  But why would you want to do such a thing?  What's the point?  I suppose the answer to that is understanding of what you want to accomplish.  A group without a purpose isn't much a club at all.

Let's hypothetically say that you want to make for yourself a Society that promotes Bio-Hacking.  This is where people try to enhance themselves with the use of chemicals, gene modification, and cybernetic mechanical aids.  You would need to start out with a mission statement or idea: how do you want to promote your ideas relating to bio-hacking?  Will you sell bio-hacking kit?  Will you be a legal protectorate to help other bio hackers?  What if your secrets come to light---are you doing everything above board or will you find yourself in some hot water?  These are all things to consider when making your own group: who, what, where, why, when, and how.

Make something amazing!  Help out your fellow man!  And make your Society benevolent, no creepers here please!
