Cannot say if the "new Twitter" will be better in the end, but am 100% certain the old one was trash.

Wasn't surprised that the anti-Elon Twitter thing had made its way internationally, given the wide spread uproar.

Unless you want to live in an Orwellian 1984 sort of world, Twitter is not a "good thing" in and of itself.

That said it will be less awful with Jack replaced by Elon.  

Here are some reasons why:

Disruption of the Blue Badge "Class System"

…with the new [Twitter] management in place, it has been discovered that verification badge status was also for sale.  For a secret fee, if you knew the right people, you could purchase a verified status.  Of course, no one ever knew this before...  (fee is said to have been up to $15k if you were not seen as woke as Twitter's employees would like.  Twitter employees were openly Privateering collecting the fees for themselves as gatekeepers.) 

the diminished level of importance of a "blue check" badge or credential if [a Blue Check] is available to anyone.  

The internal class system is removed.

Less Big Brother Though Police 


The fired were mainly "Thought Police" of the most oppressive sorts. 


....speech control.  We discover from the people who were notified of their job loss, that Twitter had individual specialized groups or units within the admin functions who monitored the conversation.

This level of conversational control explains why the U.S. government held a vested interest in Twitter as a global communication platform.

The entire moderation system sounds like an Orwellian construct because it is.

Removing this level of control over the platform is what has made Twitter's new owner and CEO Elon Musk a threat to the global order of things.

Disruption of the Silos (where your Twitter is curated differently than the next person's Twitter for propaganda reasons:


Suspicions about the data-processing operating costs, govt subsidies and the specifics of the "user container system" Twitter operates to categorize accounts under the false financial justification of managing simultaneous user data processing demand, looks like it is going to be publicly confirmed very soon.  

The groupings of the user accounts into specifically tagged containers are the root of the Twitter engagement disparity that people have wondered about for years.
