Subj : Your AED is Recording You... To : All From : warmfuzzy Date : Mon Aug 27 2018 15:15:09 Is it getting annoying how many things are recording you? From audio to video to facial scans to infrared and penetrating radar... well here is something new... yes, one more thing that records everything you say. And enters the AED (Automatic External Defribulator). For legal reasons the latest AED units come with an SD card that records everything you say while the machine is on... sounds unrealistic? This information came directly from one of the First Aid / CPR courses out there. So, yes, when you perform CPR and its not working and you pull out the AED, everything you say while you are in distress worrying about the victim is indeed recorded. There are legal implications that are rather obvious... basically its a slap in the face to first responders... so if your friend has overdosed on whatever, be certain not to mention that while the AED is on and for a time after it has been turned off as well.
