This is the state of the art in file recovery, for both files, partitions, and drive images.  The full version is $100 USD with only a month of upgrades, however on eBay they are selling an older version of it for a large price cut.  The link on eBay is:

I made this post because of how I'm absolutely amazed with the function of this software.  I run a small computer repair business and one of my jobs that i was hired for was the retrieval of a physically damaged USB stick.  I used the Linux "ddrecovery" software to grab all the data, putting it all together, then i used "dd" to move the data to an empty USB stick, then I used EaseUS Data Recovery on the fresh USB stick and all of the files were recovered.  It took a long time with about a hundred inserts and removals of the broken USB stick into the USB port of my computer.  However, though it was a big problem it was resolved perfectly.  Thank you EaseUS for that!  You should not expect having to insert the media a hundred times, this was only the case for my particular job because it had literal physical damage.  It's usually just point-and-click or maybe a bit more than that but being easy enough for most people that know what they're doing.

I really recommend getting the 30 GBP package of EaseUS File Recovery, it isn't the newest version but it does everything you'd want it to.  I do not believe that this is a pirated version, but rather an alternative to buying the most current version.  This is for people who otherwise would not be able to acquire the File Recovery software, putting an older version of their products out there so that they make more money by selling older versions to people, maximizing sales.
