I second the motion to use Ventoy.  This is the product I kept wishing someone would make back when I was a tech.  I now keep two disks with it - a small 32GB one with my main installers and live CDs, and a 256GB one with just about everything I would ever use and enough room to drop things on in a one-off fashion.

While I've found that it *usually* works, occasionally I run into a system that doesn't like booting off the disk.  I'm not sure the reason behind that, but it's still worth having in the toolbox.
