 One of the options discussed after WW II and quickly shot down was to
 create an Israeli state in what's now Alaska. The mind boggles at an
 oil-rich Israel and no jewish/middle eastern conflict. If only
 Jerusalem wasn't a show-stopper.

 They mostly all preach pantheism or a celestial figure with the same
 message - follow some arcane health and societal rules that have been
 passed down over the centuries and be nice to each other for a change.

 It's hard to fathom that wars have been fought over the details.
