Russia had promised that if they transfer all of wa> their nuclear weapons to Russia then Russia will never invade Ukraine. Is Putin really acting unilaterally? Or have our three-letter agencies pushed the Russian's buttons too many times and too hard? It is quite clear that under Icky Vicky (Nuland) the west overthrew the government of the Ukraine to install a government that was more acceptable to the Western countries and international bankers. It wasn't the Russsians, rather it was the West, that put dozens of secret bases, listening posts, biolabs in the Ukraine, many up against the Russian border. The intertwined nature of "Russia" and "Ukraine" is old. Kiev Ukraine was even once the capital of the "Russia" in the day. Domestically Putin is the lead wolf among a wolfpack of the ruthless. First among apex preditors. Any western style politician would have not survived the world he has mastered. I've never met Putin nor wish to be considered an apologist for him, but if in his shoes would any of us act much differently? BTW reports from people on the ground in Russia are favorable - the people are living their lives pretty well, sanctions haven't unravelled their world, and life goes on. Again from me this is repeating what I have learned, as I have not been there. My first trip was canceled due to the outbreak of the war. --- Steve K9ZW via SPOT BBS --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A48 2022/07/15 (Linux/64) * Origin: SPOT BBS / k9zw (700:100/69) .
