Heck, even Synchronet has a decent, featureful IRC server. It'd be nice
if Mystic had a similar option. DOVEnet has a feature where any DOVE
board can connect via IRC and be part of the network, too - that way
everyone's a part of the network, instead of having one node run the
whole thing.
