Team Canada is infighting rather than doing the "realistic" of considering how tightly Canada NEEDS to align with the USA?

Politics often proceeds conflicts.  

The risk of one or more of events from the list are high:

Collapse of the EU
Open Conflict with China
Rogue-State conflict with Iran/North Korea
Implosion of the Japanese Economy
Fiat Currency crisis
The "culling" from the aftermath of the Covid-19 injections
The UK crumbles

When this happens is being part of the USA going to offer a better deal for Team Canada?
