No, you would take that punk out, making them not be able to wa> poke anyone in the eye from ever again. You wouldn't stop countering I blame Hamas for this squarely, but the problem with this analogy is no one really has much problem taking Hamas out -- the issue is that in the process of doing this, they're killing a lot of people who aren't Hamas. And they are doing this because Hamas hides among civilians. If Israel does nothing, Israelis will live in constant fear, and for good reason, as Hamas will repeat these tactics. Israel has not done nothing, but in the process has created a lot of ill will, on account of the civilian casualties, especially children. Hamas knows Israel will take a hit on this. And in this sense, Hamas thinks it wins no matter what Israel does. It blackens its reputation, or it shows itself to be weak. Israel has taken a bite of the shit sandwich. For them, it is out of the question that their citizens will have to live in constant fear. They've chosen the price they're going to pay. Hamas could get a cease fire by releasing hostages. It could probably end all bombardment of Gaza by turning in the perpetrators of these atrocities, if they haven't "martyred" themselves already. But Hamas doesn't care about individual civilians. Because it does not care about individuals. And it does not care about human life. And Palestinians will, in the end, pay a bigger price than the kidnapped and murdered Israelis will. Israel is adamant that this all ends with the complete destruction of Hamas. Which is, for both the Palestinians and Israelis, for the best. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/24 (Linux/64) * Origin: Shipwrecks & Shibboleths [San Francisco, CA - USA] (700:100/72) .
