If anyone is interested in donating to a good cause then check out www.bbsday.org.  This is the site of The BBS Day, celebrated each February the 16th.  Donators get their name and a picture and link on the BBSDay.org site for everyone to view.  The money goes back into the BBS Scene as described on the site.  Donation is via PayPal with whatever you choose to donate.
