It seems to me that if anyone is going to adopt Monero as a serious player in
the e-currency scene, then people first have to put their money into it. 
It's like the chicken and the egg, which came first... the point is, if you
want to see it in use then invest in it.  It is no worse than bitcoin and
much better in every respect, so take the dive, invest a hundred or so and
get your friends to do the same and you will build the network that you want
to see in place.  What I want to see is markets that accept Monero to buy
real things, not necessarily tangible but software and the like.  Then maybe
later selling things that are physical.  Its great technology, far better
than BitCoin, but we've just got to promote it and accept that its a 1337
option.  Have fun, maybe it will grow like BitCoin where you could buy
several coins for a few bucks and then a few years later on a single coin is
around one thousand dollars.  It's that someone is going to win something
here and it may as well be you.  Now be careful, investing thousands in this
tech may or may not be a wise decision, but don't get in debt thinking that
you'll score big from Monero.  Monero is uncertain and I don't want to see
you in debt, however its cool enough to invest in it somewhat.  Lets talk in
a few years when Monero comes of age.
