I think if there was a legit NFT market that verified ownership (there are already stories of pirated art being sold as NFT) then sure.  But you're still just paying for a digital copy of something which could be reproduced with a screenshot.  I just don't get the point of "owning" a gif. 

Getty Images only gets away with it because they have a million lawyers and bots that search the internet for their images and auto-sue anyone who posts it without a license.  

So I guess my concept of a legit NFT marketplace would have to offer that type of "enforcement" as well.
