 I worked for a tech company a few years back. The campus in San Jose
 had one building with a large parking lot around it and no significant
 pedestrian pathways through it.

 I don't know how many times someone almost walked into my car looking
 down at their phone - I wished I had a dashcam back then, as I'm sure
 someone would claim I hit them if they were injured. Even if they
 weren't.

 This was after the age of the Blackberry, when it seemed like
 tech/business people walked into a crosswalk without looking too often.
