 My wife is English and traveled on an old (yet valid) green card that
 didn't have an expiration date. It raised eyebrows each time we
 traveled. She's since started the process to replace it.

 What I think is interesting is seeing countries offering "digital
 work visas" for tech workers who bring outside funds into their
 countries. It's a nice incentive to bring workers and outside wages
 into the country. I wish something like that (and the possibility for
 remote work from anywhere) existed when I was single, renting and in my
 20s.

 Although, common sense needs to apply - just read about one of the
 popular spots - Medellin, Columbia. Except now digital tech workers are
 getting jacked by attractive locals and waking up broke and
 computerless. Who'd think the cocaine capital would have crime?
