Subj : September 11th, 2001 : We Remember To : All From : warmfuzzy Date : Tue Sep 12 2023 01:18:54 It seems right to not forget 9/11 or let it pass into distant memory. On this day in 2001 3,000 people lost their lives in the worst terrorist attack against the United States of America ever up to that point. We remember. We must not allow the attacks to harm us in other ways as well. We can not forgo our freedom of speech, freedom of privacy, and freedom to peacefully assemble. If the terrorists succeed in destroying these rights they have done two major attacks against the USA: the planes as bombs, and the lack of civil liberties as bombs. We bring to remembrance President Bush in his very hard presidency, and all those soldiers who got injured and died for the protection of our free society. Those soldiers who made it through the battles and did not get seriously injured likewise deserve our respect and good will. All who put their lives on the line for The West and The West's culture and freedoms need to remain on our minds as this time this year, once again, we remember those who risked it all that we may enjoy our freedoms. To all the first responders: we appreciate you and thank you for your service. With flags half-mast and poppies displayed, we remember, and will continue to remember. Thank you!
