There is a project going on that will provide free sperm from the most elite of humankind, to people who are themselves geniuses.  The donated sperm is from Nobel laureates, and people who have IQ's that are top of the line.  They are looking to create a new-level human being: a new species of Man.  It has been said that people took many years to adapt to their environment, ever growing from tribal groups, to communities, all the way into our own networked global village.  Imagine a two-tired society with the "norms" and the "elite," where the general population or less intelligent folks have a hard time and where the moddies are given all the opportunities.  This reminds me of Gattica, a movie about gene doping.  It postulated that society would be massively racist, where the two races are both human, but one having been modified while the other natural.

Lets imagine 500 years from now... if everyone use the Genius Sperm Bank our intelligence as a species will advance like AI (Artificial Intelligence), there would be computer AI and there would be Human AI (Augmented Intelligence).

Further, what would happen if a harsh ruler was a massive genius, he or she could take over the world being able to predict things before hand, being able to reason for the purposes of Evil.  Something serious to think about.
