The above number will get you to the PHATstar servers and those BBSes that we'd like to promote.  It works at 19.2kbps and up to 43.3kbps depending on your luck in establishing a working connection.

"Flex" has worked on this major project.  You can use this to play around with BBSing that needs to have a live POTS connection in your project.  So lets say that you are testing out modems to see which ones work and which ones don't, this would be an excellent resource.  Its something to try out anyways for the reason of nostalgia if nothing else....

It would be a cool school project to go into the use of Plain Old Telephone System (POTS) technology, and how systems exist even in this late day that allow for incoming calls and redirection to various BBSes.  It would be a very cool project, one that won't soon be forgotten.  Its something that you may consider for the giggle factor if nothing else. :)
