I use Encrypted LUKS (for GNU/Linux).  I use it because it comes as an option
built into my operating system, and because it supports AES-256 (the industry
standard encrytion algorithm.  AES stands for "Advanced Encryption Standard"
and replaced DES (the Data Encryption Standard--which was horribly insecure).

So in short, if you're using Linux use Encrypted LUKS
