Useful if you can also receive ham radio, and local line-of-sight
communications.

Haveing a way to pull a recording is helpful.

If you can put your receiver someplace away from your actual location, you
gain separation if RX-RDFing starts.  (If people are told they can only
listen to "approved" transmissions or that they cann't listen at all.)

Covert Listening is a huge part of Covert Communications.
