I've noticed that trend also. People like simplicity, they don't like figuring things out, they like to fit in with others, they're not inquisitive, and none of that is natural; something made them that way, and it might cost them their lives someday.

To me, a virus "20x more deadly than covid" is alarming and the "I can't do anything about it" attitude won't save me from it.
