i hope this is the right location for thus, since its basically my concern regarding APLR systems and their unregulated use. 

ALPR 

Automated License Plate Readers, they?re popping up everywhere there days. He I leave my house and go to the grocery store or to get fuel I pass no less than seven me there things. 
The most common model is produced by flock safety systems. They are powered by c solar panel and communicate trough 4g connections to data centers owned by flock safety. They capture every detail of a vehicle's information including the plate, color,  model, and location and it all gets kept in a massive database. 

They're so common there days that the nearby hardware store has six in its small parking lot. 

Is there any hope of mitigating how much data there things can Collect? An I the only one concerned by the lack  of general knowledge me these, or their lack of any kind of oversight?
