Subj : Good Things to Look For In a NAS To : All From : warmfuzzy Date : Sat Jan 06 2024 17:17:31 If I were to pick a NAS for Anonymous Archivers I'd pick one with two ethernet ports, so one line can go to the LINUX server that will do all the hosting of the thing, while at the same time offering an opening to the Windows operating system. The reason for this si that there are many many virus scanners for Windows, and as for LINUX no so much. So this setup will allow people to host their files with the best operating system that has ever existed (LINUX) and yet be able to interrogate the files in the NAS (Network Attached Storage) from the use of Windows anti-virus software. I hope this helps to secure your network. Cheers! -warmfuzzy --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A48 (Linux/64) * Origin: The Bottomless Abyss BBS * bbs.bottomlessabyss.net (700:100/33) .
