There is now a piece of software that when combined with an SDR dongle (a usb stick that does radio communications when plugged into a computer) can decode TEMPEST emissions. Which means that you can read your monitor or someone's nearby monitor with this interesting software. Go figure the tech that would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to set up you can now receive for less than a thousand dollars and in some cases it seems in less than $120 USD. So check this out: TempestSDR. This could be a game changer in the field of TSCM. Have fun but don't break the law.
