You should be as all of that is BS and Absinthe quite frankly is legal today in many countries. It's very popular in Czech.

In the past Absinthe in the way it was distilled still included substances that were heavily hallucinogen and that was the root cause of its legal doom.

Now it's just a liquor with an interesting taste..
