Subj : The Game of Life For Gaming in Sp00kville To : All From : warmfuzzy Date : Thu Sep 15 2022 00:21:39 When I was a kid I was part of a Dungeons and Dragons gaming group. It is a game of imagination where you control a character and go on adventures helping out your fellow players accomplish a mission. There are various character traits that can be developed with player's experience points. You pick the player type: fighter, magician, thief, paladin, or sage. Dice are rolled and your player's characteristics are determined by chance, what you start with is what you will continue on with throughout various games. The idea is to increase your character's dexterity, wisdom, magical powers, luck, etc. So how does this all relate to intelligence and espionage? Well imagine if you took the idea of D&D to your own personal life... what if you build up your actual real-life character like you would build your gaming character? Here are some of my ideas: Martial arts is a skill that any character (real of fiction) can benefit from knowing. Being versed in computer programming can be a creative ability that your tech-savvy character can use to accomplish the creation of tools that are useful to you and your team. A magician has potions, in real life a chemist would have the ability to cook up actual potions that enhance the abilities of your character in making useful chemicals to be used by your character. Having a faith based background (sort of like a paladin) gives you knowledge of the culture and faith-based background of a society that may be useful in relating to other people. I think you get the idea, its all about treating your life as a game of life. Its where you develop yourself (self help) in a similar fashion as to how you do your gaming. Just imagine... and then work to make it so. Cheers! -warmfuzzy --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/13 (Linux/64) * Origin: thE qUAntUm wOrmhOlE, rAmsgAtE, uK. bbs.erb.pw (700:100/37) .
