I agree with this, they are likely to exist, but I don't think that they
visit us.

To visit us and make 'first contact' both species would need to reach a level
of intelligence and sustain that at overlapping times plus be close enough
for travel.

So when did we reach 'intelligence'? When Wright brothers first flight
roughly 120 years ago, or invention of silicon chips 60 years ago, or are we
not intelligent enough yet. Given then the age of the universe this time
window is very small. Perhaps other intelligent life has been and gone
already, or we will destroy ourselves before the next species comes along.

hmmm anyway, that's my thought, not that you asked, but I said it anyway :)
