Well... it could be also an Occupation of a more advanced alien civilization,
who captured Earth thousands of years ago and keeping us in ignorance for
their reasons. ;)

There is also the theory of the "flat earth" and i don't mean actually flat,
but that Earth is a "closed" system, that no one is going out or comes in. It
has been created from the Creator and perhaps its purpose is to evolve our
souls... maybe... :)

There are many possibilities... ;)
