My wife wanted to watch this and I didn't really care one way or the other, I had no idea what it was about.

To be honest, I don't remember a whole lot of details since I just sit and watch and don't let much of it sink in, but I did end up enjoying the series and the three way struggle for control.

I think the characters were well cast but some of the "cinematography" got a bit annoying after a while, like the camera zooming in on a ship as if trying to locate it. Yeah, gets old after several hours of watching.

Overall, maybe a little disappointed the series was canceled and didn't finish out the novels but it's probably not one I would revisit.
