Ok, so I got a new pi for xmas and I got the full game package from Vilros.com

It has the pi3B+ with a 32gb card with retropie pre-loaded.  It has USB SNES
paddles and a case that looks like a game console.

I loaded it all up and added a number of roms.  But when I press the start
button on many games, it just takes me out of the game an back to the game
list.  
I know nothing about retropie and I don't know where the logs are.  When I
launch a game, it gives a splash on how theres a log file at
/dev/shm/runcommand.log.  But when I look in there, I get no relevant info.

Does anybody have any idea why the games keep crashing?

Please help.
